Multilingualism: An Interview with Dr. Jan Dormer

Our blog is in video format this time. We hope you enjoy listening to Dr. Jan Dormer as she speaks about how to help families understand and support their children in learning new languages as they live cross-culturally. Dr. Dormer was born in Indiana, USA, but grew up in Brazil as the daughter of cross-cultural workers. After returning to the US for university, Jan married a Canadian and made her home in Ontario, Canada. She completed a Doctor of Education degree at the University of Toronto and has taught English and trained English teachers for many years in Canada, Brazil, Indonesia and Kenya. Currently serving as the Associate Professor of TESOL at Messiah College in Pennsylvania, Dr. Jan Dormer is a frequently-invited speaker on topics of TESOL in ministry, especially addressing ESL and EFL issues in schools around the world.
