Parents can join this free resource to access several hundred new and classic books for children. This could be a great resource for homeschooling families.

 

Always Icecream and Clever Dragons

These sites (one for girls and one for boys) offer a subscription plan for online games and instruction in Math, Typing, English, and Arts & Sciences. These sites were developed primarily by European parents, and emphasize safety and wholesome content. This could be a good resource for keeping up skills throughout the summer, while on home assignment, or as an additional motivating tool for homeschooling families.

 

Classroom Inspiration: 15 Great Websites for Elementary Educators

Here is a fantastic list of online resources for those teaching elementary-aged kids (approximately ages 6 to 11). Homeschooling parents with internet access will love this list!

 

Strengthening Connections in a Brain-Friendly Classroom

This article is just a great reminder of solid, brain-based strategies for teaching. While not written for parents, the article may serve as a good reminder for you as you consult with parents.
