Introduction to Education Consulting in Cross-Cultural Settings: January – April 2017 Cohort

*This course is a required prerequisite for all Level II courses AND for PACE certification.

Course Details:

  • Topics include all of those covered in Parts I, II, and III of the course outlined below.
  • Students will work through the course together week by week, learning and discussing together with other education consultants.
  • There will be approximately 3 to 4 hours per week required in reading, assignments, and online interaction with classmates.
  • Course tuition: 500 USD (a 100 USD savings compared with taking the course in three independent studies)

Introduction to Education Consulting in Cross-Cultural Settings: Part I – Independent Study

*This course is a required prerequisite for all Level I and II courses AND for PACE certification; it may be taken simultaneously with a Level II course.

Topics include TCKs and transitions, university preparation and re-entry issues, and educational planning.

Course Details:
  • Students will need online access for approximately two hours per module in order to download materials and interact with classmates
  • Coursework will take approximately three to four hours per module to complete
  • Maximum amount of time allowed for this Independent Study is eight weeks (up to two weeks per module)
  • Once you register for this course, an Independent Study Contract will be emailed to you along with information about your Independent Study Facilitator.
  • Course tuition: 200 USD

Introduction to Education Consulting in Cross-Cultural Settings: Part II– Independent Study

* Prerequisite: Intro. to Education Consulting in Cross-Cultural Settings: Part I. This course is a required prerequisite for all Level II courses AND for PACE certification; it may be taken simultaneously with a Level II course.

Topics include home education (home schooling), national schools, and international schools.

Course Details:
  • Students will need online access for approximately two hours per module in order to download materials and interact with classmates
  • Coursework will take approximately three to four hours per module to complete
  • Maximum amount of time allowed for this Independent Study is eight weeks (up to two weeks per module)
  • Once you register for this course, an Independent Study Contract will be emailed to you along with information about your Independent Study Facilitator.

Topics include emerging skills and literacy, learning styles, special needs, and core consulting skills.
